Highlights from the preceding month
In Language Arts the 7 th grade students finished their unit on the Victorian time period, The Christmas Carol, and Charles Dickens. The students came up with some great projects such as Victorian cookbooks, Powerpoints, and timelines.

The 7 th grade ladies basketball team has worked very hard this year and is looking to improve each game. Good luck Mrs. Coon and the 7 th grade girls. The 7 th grade boys basketball team has had an excellent season and is undefeated for the year. Keep up the hard work!!! Lastly, the Copley wrestling team has had another spectacular year under the coaching of Mr. Cika. They have one last tournament on January 12 at Lake . Good luck wrestling team.

Upcoming grade level events
The 1 st semester will be ending on January 17 and the new semester will begin on the 22. Students in the Foreign language, Work and Family, and Technology classes will be switching at the start of the new semester. The 7 th grade team would like to welcome Mr. Fasig and Mrs. Carothers who will be long term subbing this year. Mr. Fasig is in for Mrs. Gibb(History) and Mrs. Carothers will be in for Mrs. Fahey(Spanish).

The 7 th grade team will have their next incentive on January 25 which is a movie and popcorn!!! If the students have earned their points for the last 5 weeks they will be able to attend.
